The STIFFCRANK Project
The goal of STIFFCRANK is to develop a new laser-based surface hardening methodology for tailoring the distribution of residual stresses near the surface in relation to improved fatigue resistance.
Objectives
To optimize fatigue strength of microalloyed steels after advanced laser surface hardening compared to standard hardening techniques.
STIFFCRANK consortium hold the six-monthly follow-up meeting via webex. The achieved results and the work plan for the next months have been discussed between all partners.
STIFFCRANK partners have met at AIMEN. Many interesting results of the project have been presented and activities for the next six months have been planned.
